Have you ever met someone who just changes your perspective on life?
You talk to them and instantly you feel your whole body fill up with energy and inspiration. Every part of your conversation with this person feels spiritual in a sense.
Have I known this person my whole life?
These encounters happen to me often. When I travel, I tend to meet these types of people.
How wild is it that you can have a deeper conversation with someone you’ve known for less than an hour than with someone you’ve known for years?
Have I met this person in another life? I know we are here at the same time for a reason.
When these conversations come to an end, I tend to think to myself: I’ve made a new life-long friend. How are we going to keep in contact? What will our relationship develop into going forward?
Often times- nowhere. A week later and I still think about this person and our conversation.
Only recently have I realized this: Not every person you meet needs to be your life-long friend. Maybe in essence, but sometimes these one-time encounters are all they are meant to be in your life.
This has been hard for me to swallow, but it is also a beautiful realization.
How wonderful is it that life sprinkles random encounters that have the power to change our lives?
This is their french toast. So good. I usually go to Finish Bistro to grab a coffee and occasionally a pastry (or two). They have lots of seating- outdoor seating in the summer. And they have weekly events as well.
I’m going to be real with you guys right now and say that this photo does NOT do this food any justice. Colossal home makes ALL of their food. Every time I bring a friend here, they rave about it for hours after. It’s truly amazing. The lines get super long, but it is worth it.
Original Pancake House
I eat way too much every time I come here. These are the chocolate chip pancakes that I get every time I go. I’ve also gotten their eggs benedict which I would highly recommend. This place gets extremely busy, so I would suggest that you call ahead.
This is their red chicken curry. It is phenomenal. So creamy and comes with so much that I always leave with left overs! It’s a win win. They have great deals and it’s a fun little place.
This is my all time favorite place to go. My go-to. The staff there is unreal. They are incredibly friendly and welcoming and not to mention they make amazing and authentic food. This picture is of their Shawarma Platter. I always get this (and the falafels on occasion)
You see that thing with a knife sticking in it? That is ricotta cheese that will change your life. I literally would eat that whole thing no questions asked. That is their cheese board and underneath are their wet chips (I think that’s that they’re called) which are great. They taste like buffalo wings. Alma is cute and the servers are very attentive. It’s also a good place to study.
