2 Famous People You Should Know More About

I once heard this saying that “you can learn something new from everyone you meet”. It might not always be clear what… but so far this mindset has served me well in making new connections and finding deeper meaning in my interactions with others. While the people I will mention in this blog I may never meet, I think they hold great insights and wisdom that anyone anywhere can learn from.

The first…

time-100-oprah-winfrey

Oprah Winfrey! I regret saying this, but, until a few days ago, I thought Oprah was overrated. I know, shameful. I never took the time to learn about her and just assumed there was too much hype around her name..so wrong. If you don’t know much about Oprah, please, take these appropriate steps to get to know more.

  • Download the podcast-app and listen to her “SuperSoul Conversations” podcast in which she interviews several world-renowned spiritual individuals. I swear this podcast has changed my life (Learn more). At the beginning of every episode Oprah starts out by saying:

“I believe that the greatest gift you can give yourself is time”

and if that’s not the truth!

The second…

Marcus-Aurelius

Marcus Aurelius. A man and philosopher wise beyond his time.

Here are a few of his famous quotes:

“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.”

“Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.”

“Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking.”

Obviously, you can do more to learn about Oprah & Aurelius, but I hope these links made your research easier. Thanks!
